Book
“Civilization and Barbarism in Argentine Soccer” (tentative title) is my current manuscript project. It examines how soccer has become an important way for Argentines to think about national identity, class tensions, gendered norms, and what it means to be a modern nation.
¡Animales!
Using the Omeka platform, ¡Animales! is digital archive of items, exhibits, and collections related to Argentine soccer. Its exhibits will expand upon the forthcoming upcoming book. [link coming soon]
Invited Faculty
In fall of 2023, I traveled to Argentina and Uruguay as a faculty specialist for a graduate student program focused on soccer and society. Across 10 days, I delivered lectures and on-site presentations—some at iconic stadiums like the Centenario (Montevideo), La Boca, and Monumental (Buenos Aires)—for students enrolled in the Wharton School’s Lauder Intercultural Ventures program at the University of Pennsylvania.
